Sierra Leone shuts down holiday cheer

Filomas is not coming to Sierra Leone this year! The country has apparently banned all Christmas and new years celebrations in an attempt to halt the spread of the deadly hemorrhagic virus. The epidemic, which has not yet reached its inflection point in sierra leone, threatens to become much much worse with the addition of partiers and increased social interaction from the holidays. This falls at an interesting policy move, where culture must come in conflict with disease.
