A new technique has been proposed to get people more keen on getting the flu vaccine--virtual reality. Researchers believe virtual reality might prove to be an effective tool in helping people visualize and comprehend how the flu spreads and its impact on others. The study focused on influenza vaccination avoidant 18-49-year-old adults. The study provided vaccine heistant particpants with different educational exposure mediums. Some were given a e-pamplet, others a video, and the last group was given a virtual reality (VR) headset. It was found that the VR group has the most concern about transmitting influenza to others after being taught about flu transmission and vaccine via VR.
