Congo Ebola Update

Here's the latest regarding the Congo Ebola outbreak from both the NYTimes & the CDC...The WHO has been aware of the disease prevalence since August, and to date there have been 24 confirmed cases, though an additional release from the Congo's Ministry of Health is slated for today.
Ebola, particularly the Zaire subtype, is an example of a virus that has yet to infect a large fraction of the populace, though for those infected it is extremely lethal, with a mortality rate of 90%.
Also interesting from a public health perspective is that fighting Ebola has been increasingly difficult given the presence of shigella, typhoid, and malaria - all three of which present with symptoms similar to Ebola.
